Coming up for air in the endless, swirling whirlpool that seems to be my life these days.

When will it end, dear readers?

I'm almost afraid to ask.

The good news: my best friend is being discharged from the hospital today.

The bad news: it's because they can do nothing more for her there. Needless to say it has sucked all of the air out of my room and I am struggling under the weight of all the sadness.

I hope to be able to be back in the blogging saddle soon.
