Miscellaneous Religion of Peace Items

I couldn't believe this one! Read it all to savor the absurdity of sharia. Courtesy of The Pedestrian Infidel :

As I had predicted in my previous post on this incident, American retirees Mr. and Mrs. Randal Barnhart, who made the mistake of recently vacationing here in the Melayu Islamic Republic, are not likely to be receiving their desired compensation, let alone an apology, any time soon. If ever.

To quickly refresh everyone's memories (no doubt somewhat dulled by mass consumption of cheap Halloween candy), the Barnharts were the recent victims of a Malaysian Sharia Police raid on their rented condo at 2am. Their supposed crime? These 60-something criminal masterminds committed the dreadful Islamic sin of "Khalwat", AKA "close proximity".

But, we're the Religion of Peace! Honest! From This Is London:

Police Injured in Muslim Old Bailey Protest
A POLICEMAN was punched in the face when police and Muslim demonstrators clashed outside the Old Bailey today. About 25 people gathered outside the central London court to support a man on trial over the Muslim cartoon protests.

Sick.

Wedding bomb toll climbs to 23
THE death toll from a car bomb attack on an Iraqi wedding party has climbed to 23, including 19 children aged under 10, the manager of the hospital that received the bodies said today.

A car bomb exploded early today outside a family home hosting a wedding reception in the north Baghdad district of Ur, just as the bridegroom's party was arriving in a convoy of cars.

Qasim Modalal, director of the Imam Ali hospital, told AFP that 23 people were killed in the blast - including 19 infants - and that another 19 were wounded, many of them seriously.

Baghdad is in the grip of a vicious sectarian war between rival Sunni and Shiite extremist factions, despite a massive security operation that has 15,000 US troops and more than 40,000 Iraqi soldiers and police on the streets.

Let's go burn some cars and stuff - Winner of the Holocaust Cartoon Contest named.

A MOROCCAN won first prize today in Iran's International Holocaust Cartoons Contest, which had sparked outrage in Israel, the West and among Jewish groups. Iran's best-selling newspaper, Hamshahri, launched a competition in February to find the best cartoon about the Holocaust, in which six million Jews were killed by the Nazis

Defiant Sheik Hilaly 'refuses to be silenced'

BESIEGED Muslim cleric Sheik Taj al-Din al-Hilaly is expected to make his first public appearance since his dramatic collapse by attending Friday prayers tomorrow.

As the controversial cleric yesterday checked out of Canterbury Hospital in Sydney and into a private hospital to continue recuperating, the Islamic community was abuzz with speculation he will attend Lakemba Mosque tomorrow.
