Is Islam good for London?

Attendees at the "Is Islam good for London" debate.
If they were in a Muslim country the women would be off in the basement listening to the debate on an audio feed.
And that pic in the background would be put to the torch.
Just sayin.'
You gotta know what my answer is...and that would be a resounding no.

Unfortunately if you agree with me, you will find yourself in the minority according to the Evening Standard's opinion poll which shows seven that out of 10 people believe Muslims make a "positive contribution" to the economy of the capital.

This poll was held in conjunction with the Evening Standard's "Is Islam good for London?" debate held last night.

Panelists (and their answer to the question is Islam good for London) included:

No - Rod Liddle, Former editor of BBC's Today Programme.
Yes - Inayat Bunglawala, Asst. Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Britain
No - Joan Smith, Novelist, columnist and human rights activist
Yes - Prof Michael Burleigh, Academic, historian and author
Yes - Ed Husain, Author of the highly-acclaimed book, The Islamist

More of their remarks can be found here.

Celebrity Dhimmi bonus! Jemima Khan is in the house! She just "happens" to get called on and earns her useful idiot designation by offering a lame brain "It's all in the interpretation" defense of Islam. When challenged about the reality of Islamic terror, she excuses the cold, hard truth that today's terror is Islamic by referring to the past evils committed by Christians.

It's not pretty, folks. Coverage and video of the event can be found here.
