Sudan: Slain US Diplo...

Granville's body was taken in a large convoy from the hospital, where he was sent after the shooting, to the airport where the flag-draped coffin was loaded onto a KLM airliner in the presence of acting Charge d'Affaires Roberto Powers. Embassy officials refused to say where his body was being flown.
as the FBI arrives to investigate his murder.

The U.S. State Department said the security team would include officials from Diplomatic Security and the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, and that they would collect evidence and interview witnesses.
and the Sudan pledges to bring his killers to justice.

Foreign Minister Deng Alor on Wednesday held a meeting with Acting US Chargé d'Affaires, Roberto Powers, and told him that the Sudanese security organs are working actively to pursue the culprits, identify them and bring them to justice.

The Darfur rebels are chiming in too and condemning the murder.

Three Darfur rebel groups denounced the killing of the US diplomat in Khartoum saying that such murder was a crime strange to Sudan. They held the Sudanese government responsible of the killing adding it was the government responsibility to safeguard the security of foreigners working in the
country.
