Keith Ellison to speak at funeral of dead Islamist

From Militant Islam Monitor:

Today, Congressman Keith Ellison will be the main speaker at a memorial for the deceased leader of the Minnesota chapter of the Muslim American Society (MAS-Minnesota), Hesham Hussein. Hussein was killed in an auto accident in Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, January 26th.

While Congressman Ellison speaks, the organization Hussein led will be using the internet to propagate violent hatred against Jews and Christians.
Statements such as “In view of the degenerate moral condition of the Jews and the Christians, the Believers have been warned not to make them their friends and confidants.” and “If you gain victory over the men of Jews, kill them.” are currently featured on the MAS-Minnesota website.

Also scheduled to speak at the memorial will be the Assistant Chief of the Saint Paul Police Department, Dennis Jensen. Joe Kaufman, Chairman of Americans Against Hate (AAH) stated, "It is wrong for any official to speak at a memorial for a leader of a hate group, whether it be the Ku Klux Klan or the Muslim American Society. We call on these officials to cancel their appearances."

One more thing about the Muslim American Society:

The government also stated that another organization, the Muslim American Society (MAS) was “founded as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States.” This appears to be the first time the US government has officially described the true origins and ulterior agenda of the Muslim American Society.

A complete dossier on their activities can be found at Steve Emerson's Investigative Project.

Some more mischief from CAIR and their Islam-o-buttbuddies, the MAS:

CAIR and MAS Freedom Foundation had offered amicus, or friend of the court, briefs for the pending appeal of Sabri Benkahla, convicted in 2007 of perjury and obstruction of justice.

Benkahla was part of a group of Northern Virginia men who trained to fight with the Taliban against the United States. He was acquitted of supplying services to the Taliban but later convicted on the perjury and obstruction charges and sentenced to 10 years in prison. That sentence included a "terrorism enhancement" after the trial court found his false statements impeded a terrorism investigation. In seeking court approval to file their supportive briefs, CAIR and MAS said they were specifically concerned about the sentencing enhancement. It is "being applied to punish Muslim scholars and activists as if they had committed terrorism crimes," CAIR's motion states, and that could chill political speech and activities.
