At least 2 dead and at least 3 US citizens among the injured.

At least two persons are dead and nine injured after an explosion at a restaurant popular with foreigners and diplomats in Islamabad. At least three US citizens are among the injured. The explosion at the Italian Luna Caprese restaurant, which occurred at about 8:40 pm local time, could be heard from several kilometres away. The blast created panic in the city and police immediately cordoned off the area, located in the busy Super Market, as ambulances rushed to the site.

IBN is claiming the bomb was placed in a restaurant wall and was targeting CIA personnel.

Hamid Mir, Bureau Chief of the private Geo TV news channel, told CNN-IBN his sources had told him the bomb was planted in a wall of the restaurant. The blast may have targeted officials of the America’s Central Intelligence Agency who were sitting inside the restaurant.

The BBC has an on the scene report from a Luna Caprese employee. Reading this really made me want to go throttle some G-D terrorists scrawny, dirty neck.

One wall of the restaurant has partly collapsed and many people have been injured," he said.
The restaurant is especially popular with foreigners.

"It's a very bad situation," an employee at Luna Caprese told AFP.

"There are lots of injured people who have lost their limbs and legs," the employee said.
