Rolling In the Escalade....

It's good to be out of the frozen north. Sorry to hear about that big storm brewing up there. I started seeing signs of spring about Roanoke where the Bradford pears and the daffodils are all in bloom. Weather was rainy and foggy pretty much the whole way and there trucks galore on the route. The Shenandoah valley with all of its history and battlefields was beautiful. The Smoky Mountains looked gloomy and well, smoky. There were signs of redbud on the trees around Mt. Airy and little leafy sprigs started to appear at the South Carolina line. Ginormous traffic snarls around Charlotte and Atlanta. Hottest car seen yet this trip? A gun-metal gray Maserati. It was smoking hot.

I love this country...
