Pakistan: The latest

Pakistan "agrees in principal" to delay elections.

Well, now it appears that Pakistan is willing
to accept outside assistance in the Bhutto investigation.

Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States Mahmud Ali Durrani said in an interview with The New York Times published Tuesday that his government would welcome outside experts to help investigate the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.

Even the Pro-Taliban militants are getting into the independent inquiry act.

In the meantime, it looks like they are just rounding up the usual suspects.

The city police on Sunday night conducted a massive search for hardened criminals and suspected people to find clues to the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.
Things are getting back to normal in Islamabad and Lahore. Rumors of bombs and angry mobs continue to disrupt Peshawar and Karachi.

You know, I wondered earlier where CSI: Rawalpindi was during this whole sorry mess. Guess where? Apparently, he and his four man team was doing the Haj. Sheesh. No rush or anything, guys. Police team begins carnage probe.
“At this moment I can’t say anything. We are starting to investigate. I have just come back from Haj last night and received a briefing on the case,” the AIG told Dawn.

And it's too bad that Toyota doesn't read Dinah Lord - if so they would see that the aftermarket modifications on Benazir Bhutto's Toyota make this statement untrue. Sunroof injury couldn't kill Bhutto: Toyota

On the other hand, the Paki Finance Minister sees an "outside hand hired by foreign elements" in the violence. This, as the KSE (Karachi Stock Exchange) suffers its biggest one day loss in it's history and fuel shortages are causing Pakistan State Oil to invoke force majeure clauses in it's fuel supply agreements.
And it looks like Bilawal Bhutto and his sisters are getting the hell out of Dodge.

Just to let you know that people are still stuck on stupid in 2008: 48% of news readers say CIA assassinated Bhutto. Okay, it's Mathaba news readers but still...

And Benazir, the movie? Yep. Already in the works.
