Mookie al Sadr MIA? What's up, doc?

Per Memri he's in a coma in a Iranian hospital suffering from food poisoning.

Shi'ite cleric and leader Muqtada Al-Sadr was secretly transferred a few days ago from Iraq to Iran for hospitalization as he was comatose.

It was reported that his illness resulted from food poisoning.

Al-Sadr is being treated by Iranian specialists, as well as by Russian doctors brought in to help the Iranian medical staff treat him.

According to VOA he's been off studying for his Ayatollah license.

Iraq's powerful radical Shi'ite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr has issued a rare statement to his followers, explaining why he has not been seen in public since May of last year.

In the statement, reportedly distributed in Najaf and on the Sadrists' website, al-Sadr said he missed his followers, but that he needed time to "worship." The Shi'ite militia leader earlier resumed studies toward attaining the title of ayatollah, with the power to issue decrees.

What's up, I wonder?

Here's hoping it's trichinosis.
